This comprehensive course is designed to meet the needs of the general public including babysitters, nannies, daycare providers, teachers, and mom & dad, and brothers and sisters. In this class you’ll learn how to perform CPR in a few simple, basic steps. Any child old enough to competently play a video game should be able to learn effective life-saving CPR skills.
AED skills are also taught in this class. Developing a comfort and familiarity with AEDs can quickly become an invaluable life saving tool in the instance in which somebody is experiencing cardiac arrest, or a number of other problems ultimately affecting one’s heart. AEDs, though often overlooked, have exploded in popularity and can be found in gyms, churches, schools, airports and almost any public facility that accommodates large groups of people. AEDs save countless lives every year and they’re super simple to learn and use.
Most times when somebody saves a life using CPR or an AED, they’re saving the life of somebody they know.
First Aid and choking are also covered in this course. The choking portion addresses the different approaches used on adults, children and infants. The first-aid portion address common workplace and daily life injuries and how to appropriately assess and treat these injuries until more advanced care is available. Topics covered include: bandaging, bleeding, wounds, choking, shock, seizure, fainting, broken bones, sprains, burns, bites, stings, poison, and temperature-related conditions, to name a few.
